SUMMER AT ACADEMY OF NEVADA BALLET THEATRE

ANBT Summer Intensive, June 13-24, 2016, Ages 7-18

It is our pleasure to announce the Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive 2017. The Summer Intensive Program is a two-week training program for 8 through 18-year-old students who are seriously pursuing an excellent education in dance. Non-Academy students must audition to be accepted into the program.

Dates:

The Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre’s two-week Summer Intensive begins on Monday, June 12 and concludes on Friday, June 23. There will be a performance for parents each Friday. Students may attend one or both weeks.

Levels:

Pre Level: Academy students in Pre-Ballet 3 and Ballet A1 in the 2016-2017 school year
Beginning Level: Academy students in Ballet A2 and Ballet A3 in the 2016-2017 school year
Intermediate Level: Academy students in Ballet B1 and Ballet B2 in the 2016-2017 school year
Advanced Level: Academy students in Ballet B3, C1, and C2 in the 2016-2017 school year
*Students new to the Academy must audition to be accepted into the program. See the back of this page for details.

Times:

Advanced & Intermediate Levels: 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday (Students may attend one or both weeks.)

Beginning Level: 9:00am-12:00pm and/or 12:30pm-3:30pm (Students may enroll for either morning or afternoon, or both, for one or two weeks.)

Pre Level: 12:30pm-3:30pm (Students may attend one or both weeks.)

Classes:

Advanced and Intermediate students will study Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Jumps & Turns, Improvisation, History, and Stretch & Conditioning.
Beginning and Pre-Level students will study Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Stretch & Conditioning, and Hip-Hop.

Tuition:

Advanced/Intermediate Levels: $228 for one week, and $456 for two weeks

Beginning Level: Morning or afternoon session for one week: $168 (2 weeks: $336)
Both morning and afternoon sessions for one week: $228 (2 weeks: $456)

Pre Level: $168 for one week, and $336 for two weeks

The tuition for those taking one week only is due at the time of registration. Those taking both weeks may pay for the first week upon registration and the remaining balance no later than the first day of Intensive. There is a $40 registration fee for students not previously enrolled in the Academy during the 2016-2017 school year. As space allows, students may register through Friday, June 9, but a space in the program is not guaranteed at that point.

Auditioning:

Current ANBT students do not have to audition. Non-academy students who live in the Las Vegas area may call to schedule a placement/audition class. Non-Academy students may also mail a DVD or email a link to an online video. This video should include:

Students who register no later than Friday, May 12 will receive an ANBT Summer Intensive t-shirt.

Story Ballet, June 13-24, 2016, Ages 3-8

This summer, join us for our exciting Story Ballet Program which offers children a valuable and fun exploration of a classical story ballet. The ballet’s story is told through the characters, with ballet movement and technique, mime, and music exploration. It all culminates in a performance at the end of each week when the story ballet comes alive through the children’s own creativity and all they have learned!

Monday-Friday, 9:30am-12:30pm
Two Groups: Ages 3-4 and 5-7
June 12-16 Theme: Peter Pan
June 19-23 Theme: Swan Lake

Tuition:

$168/week
Plus a $40 registration fee for students not enrolled in the Academy during the 2016-2017 school year.

Dress Code:

Girls: pink leotard, pink ballet slippers, and pink socks, with hair neatly tied up (No skirts or extra accessories.)

Boys: white tank leotard and black bike shorts, white socks, black ballet slipper

Drop-off and Pick-up requirements:

All parents and /or guardians must escort their child into the building for drop-off and enter the building and wait for your child in the lobby for pick-up. No child will be allowed to exit the building unless accompanied by a parent and/or guardian.

Refreshments:

We recommend that each child bring bottled water and a snack with them each day of camp. There is a short supervised snack break.
