Black & White Ball

May 1, 2001
Wynn Las Vegas

Nevada Ballet Theatre is pleased to announce the 2021 Black & White Ball will honor two outstanding community leaders who embody the spirit and heart of Las Vegas, Camille and Larry Ruvo. For the first time, NBT’s Black & White Ball will be held outdoors, becoming a magical evening under the stars at Wynn Las Vegas on May 1, 2021.

NBT’s Black & White Ball is one of the most highly anticipated social events of the year, and it has become synonymous with the glamour, excitement, and elegance of Las Vegas’ cultural landscape. Southern Nevada’s top philanthropists and business leaders gather annually for this special evening to celebrate the art form of ballet and its central role in the artistic vitality of our community.

One of Las Vegas’ premier social events since 1985, the Black & White Ball is NBT’s largest annual fundraiser hosting over 500 arts supporters and community leaders as part of a premier celebration of the arts. Garnering significant media attention on the local and national level, proceeds from this formal black-tie affair allow NBT to present professional main stage productions at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, offer quality instruction within its affiliated Academy, and reach 20,000 students annually through its powerful Community Education programs.

For 16 years, as part of this renowned gala, NBT proudly recognized the achievements of local female trailblazers beginning with Elaine Wynn in 1985. The Company shifted to celebrity entertainers in 2001 when it first honored the legendary Debbie Reynolds—and a lineup of famous female icons followed.

Now, in consideration of the events of the past year, NBT will proudly shine a spotlight on our city once again by recognizing Camille and Larry Ruvo—two outstanding community leaders who embody the spirit and heart of Las Vegas. With safety as the priority, NBT’s 2021 reimagined Black & White Ball will provide an opportunity to reunite for a magical evening under the stars while paying tribute to our “Couple of the Year.”
