In partnership with the education and outreach department at The Smith Center, NBT produces an In-School Performance Program entitled “Gwendolyn the Graceful Pig.” The author, David Ira Rottenburg, reads his adorable children’s book while five NBT dancers make the story come to life. A question and answer session with the dancers follows each performance and schools are given copies of the book for their library. This hugely successful program reached over 30,000 CCSD students since its inception in 2015.
