ALL THAT JAZZ
Balanchine, Stravinsky, and More
Winter brings three dynamic works including the red-hued and lightning quick Rubies, where George Balanchine’s brilliant steps are illuminated by Stravinsky’s dynamic and jazz-like rhythms.
The brilliance of Balanchine and Stravinsky continues with the spirited Duo Concertant, featuring onstage musicians, a pianist and violinist, who bring this energetic score to life as two dancers perform in resplendent neoclassical style.
Rounding out the program is the return of Ghost Light (Ripples in the fabric of existence), by the creative duo of A & A, Alexis Ochin and Arnaud Boursain. Pushing the boundaries of dance and theatrical spectacle, this extraordinary work is back by popular request.
